🎨 Meet Jordà Ferré: Inventor of Recycled Fantasies
Jordà Ferré is a Barcelona-born artist, inventor and scenographer known for creating large-scale kinetic sculptures and theatrical machines, all made from reused materials.
He began his career in the world of theater and puppetry, gradually developing a unique artistic language rooted in reuse and mechanical storytelling. What started as a necessity—using discarded objects because he couldn’t afford new ones—became his signature style.
Today, with his company Antigua i Barbuda, JordĂ designs and builds interactive installations that blend engineering with emotion: from a real recycled heart that pumps in sync with your heartbeat, to a piano that translates music into scent.
His work invites us to see value in the forgotten, and to reimagine the potential of what we usually throw away.
🎧 As part of our upcoming podcast series on creative reuse in the arts, we had the pleasure of interviewing Jordà Ferré about his artistic process, his inventive approach to materials, and his reflections on sustainability and imagination.
The podcast series will be available on our website in early 2026 — so save the date and don’t miss the chance to listen to inspiring voices that can help shape your careers in green jobs!
