In a world facing urgent environmental challenges, our project empowers young people to explore meaningful careers that contribute to a sustainable future. Centered around the rise of green jobs, we focus on occupations that not only protect and preserve the environment but are also shaped by the wave of digital transformation.
Through immersive and hands-on experiences, we introduce youth to dynamic fields such as digital fabrication for recycling, creative reuse art, electronic repair, and computer-aided design for sustainability. These exploratory journeys offer the chance to learn directly from professionals, develop practical skills, and envision their place in the green economy.
At the same time, we nurture a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation, connecting participants with founders and changemakers who are redefining work at the intersection of technology and sustainability.
Our goal? To spark curiosity, build skills, and inspire the next generation of leaders in green innovation.
The project has been structured into two key phases, each aimed at achieving specific objectives.
Awareness and Engagement in sustainability
The project focuses on raising awareness among young individuals about recycling, reuse, and repair practices in connection with digital crafting.
To achieve this goal, the consortium will implement a series of activities, including the creation of dedicated podcasts on green digital crafting and the organization of targeted events.
Furthermore, the topics covered will be given broad visibility through the publication of online content.
Professional Development and Active Engagement
Secondly, the project focuses on enhancing the professional skills of young individuals in repair, reuse, and recycling practices, linking them to job opportunities.
The consortium will develop specific professional curricula for the four thematic areas. Youth will be involved in training paths based on these curricula, participate in one international mobility, and engage in a final project challenge.
We offer opportunities to explore reuse, repair, and transformation practices related to digital crafting in a playful and flexible format. Through the web desk activity, youth can interact with staff from participating organizations, learning more about the various topics and opportunities in this domain. They can register for web desk sessions at their convenience and engage in open exchanges with moderators.
