The "Trash to Treasure" project arises from the need to address challenges and opportunities in the emerging field of green jobs. With the transformation of the working landscape, the project aims to tackle this transition through targeted awareness and guidance activities towards professions in green digital crafting.
The consortium, composed of four entities with complementary expertise in the fields of art, electronics, 3D printing, and digital fabrication, is a key element for the project's success. This diversity of skills converges on the theme of digital crafting, facilitating the creation of professional paths linked to sustainability.
It is worth mentioning that our project aligns with the latest developments in EU sustainability efforts, particularly the introduction of the Right to Repair Act, which officially came into effect in April 2024. This legislation represents a significant milestone in promoting sustainability across Europe by expanding the growing field of repair and reuse.
By fostering skills in repairing and repurposing, we empower youth to actively participate in and contribute to a more sustainable future, in line with the objectives of the Right to Repair initiative.
