Bluetooth speaker out of a broken-down computer: DIY workshop

Last month, Digijeunes ran practical workshops on recovering and reusing electronic components. These workshops are part of the Trash to Treasure project and of a programme with young people from the Toulouse Local Mission.

From used old, broken-down computers that had been donated to us, we extracted parts, such as fans and speakers. Then, step by step, we set about creating two items: the first, a fume extractor for electronic soldering; the second, a Bluetooth speaker.

Through these projects, we demonstrated that, thanks to DIY techniques as well as manufacturing tools and machinery, it is possible to invent a multitude of useful objects. In other words: from trash… to treasure!
