Okay, real talk: What happens to your old phone, laptop, or gaming console when you're done with it? Just toss it? Think again.
The hidden dark side of your old gadgets
That old tech you throw away often ends up in massive junk heaps in places like Ghana, Africa. Imagine kids your age, sometimes even younger, working in dangerous, toxic dumps. They're literally burning wires just to get tiny bits of metal, breathing in super harmful fumes. It's a seriously messed-up situation that wrecks their health and the planet. This isn't just "their" problem; it's a global issue driven by all our old electronics.
So, why not just get the latest tech?
Because every new gadget made means more resources used and more potential waste later.
But what can we do? It might seem small, but every time we choose to repair or reuse, we're making a difference. Let's make our tech last and keep our planet (and its people) healthier!
Repair
Instead of tossing stuff, why don't we repair it? Can that cracked screen be fixed? Is that slow laptop just in need of a quick tune-up?

Let's give our waste new life. Maybe your old phone is perfect for a younger sibling, or a local charity could use your old computer.
Longer lifespan
Can we keep it longer? The longer you use your electronics, the less new stuff needs to be made, and the less harmful waste is created.
